Sales, Visiting, & General Policies
Pricing: We generally charge $40 for pet bunnies. Rare colors (such as chocolate varieties) may be priced higher. Bunnies sold with a pedigree start at $50. Proven does/bucks generally will start at $60 (with a pedigree). All of our Holland lops come from pedigreed stock, regardless of whether they are sold as pet, brood, or show. We reserve the right to refuse a sale to anyone, for any reason.
Hold Deposit: We require a non-refundable $15 deposit to put your bunny on hold. You may use Paypal or send a check or money order. If a deposit is not received within 24 hours for payment via Paypal or 2-3 days for check or money order, the bunny will be placed back up for adoption. Please contact us for more information on using PayPal. Refunds for hold deposits will only be given if the sale is canceled by us. We may consider a refund if you are purchasing a pedigreed bunny and you feel the pictures have misrepresented the bunny’s actual condition or appearance. This determination must be made by your physical inspection of the bunny. The hold deposit will go towards the purchase price.
Pick Up/ Boarding: We have limited cage space and are not able to hold bunnies for extended periods of time. Please make arrangements to pick up your bunny within a week of their availability date. If you have any difficulty making these arrangements, please let us know well in advance. It is your responsibility to pick up your bunny at our rabbitry, as well as provide adequate means of transportation. We will charge a $15/week boarding fee for any bunny not picked up within a week of it’s availability date. We will not release a bunny to a buyer before it is 8 weeks old. We will be glad to deliver a bunny to a show we are attending. Please understand this is a hobby for us that results in bunnies as a by-product. We do not do this for a living and cannot “drop everything” to deliver a bunny, nor can we wait around all day for a buyer. We reserve the right to be unavailable half an hour before or after a scheduled pick up time. Please give us 2-3 days notice prior to your scheduled pick up time if a change needs to be made. If notice is not given, or if you “no show” for a scheduled appointment, you may lose your deposit and the bunny may be placed back up for adoption after a reasonable attempt to contact you has been made.
Visiting: There are countless stories of inconsiderate visitors to rabbitries. Many breeders I know have altogether closed their rabbitries to visitors due to unacceptable behavior. Inconsiderate/intolerable behavior includes (but is not limited to) “dropping in” unannounced, unruly children, being excessively late/early, using profanity, opening cages, and so forth. You may be asked to leave. Generally, the mere presence of visitors causes a great deal of stress to our rabbits, which is unhealthy for them as well as the litters they may carry. Please understand that just because you are here to pick up a bunny does not mean it is a good time to visit the actual rabbitry. Again, this is a hobby for us and a few aspects of it are made available to the public, but we reserve the right to deny anyone access to our rabbitry or property in general. This hobby represents a great personal investment of time, money, and effort, and I will make no apologies if I come across as being overprotective.
General: We love our bunnies, including the pets we sell. We hope that every bunny purchase will be a positive experience for you, us, and the bunny. We will provide any bunny buyer with a bag of transition food (we use Purina Mills Show Formula) and a basic care sheet. Should you need any assistance beyond that, please feel free to ask.
